Chetwynd Seventh-day Adventist Church

Lifting up Jesus in our community.

  • In order to comply with the most recent provincial health restrictions we are moving our weekly services from the building back to the online format we used this spring.  This will continue until further notice.  Let us lovingly and gently do this kindness with hearts of joy, as we patiently exercise our self-control to faithfully and peacefully do good.

  • School board meeting coming up February 23 at 6:30.

  • Please keep our students in your special prayers next week.  Next week is our annual Week of Prayer at P.C.S. and our theme this year is Friend Request:Getting To Know Jesus.  You can tune in to our final presentation at our virtual Point of Worship next Friday at 7:00 on the Peace Christian School Facebook page.

  • Coming up February 27 at 6:30 pm, our annual Church Business Meeting where we can find out how the church is doing, and plan where our church is going.  Because of the current health regulations, our meeting will be via Zoom.  Watch for the link coming next week.  Plan to be there!

  • Our Spring Bulk Order is here!  Check out the catalogues and order form on our Church Online page, and send your order to Katie Nichols at by the end of the day on February 28.

  • Prayer Meeting is back on on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 pm.  Because of COVID and night driving, we are continuing to do prayer meeting on Zoom.  Click here for the link.

  • The Isaiah Sabbath School Quarterlies are still here!  If you would like one, they are sitting in the arctic entry at Peace Christian School.  At publishing time, there is still one large print quarterly left!  If you cannot get out to the school, please contact Pastor D and he can help one find its way to you.

  • It's time to recognize our staff and administrators at Peace Christian School for going above and beyond.  If you would like to nominate a staff member for the Excellence In Education Awards, please take a moment to read this letter and then fill out a form.  Submissions are due April 15.

  • The church has voted to suspend the nominating committee process for this year and continue with our current list of leaders for the next calendar year.  If you are interested in stepping up and helping out in a certain role, contact Pastor D.  It is a perfect year to try something new out!

  • The offering this coming Sabbath is for the REACH BC & Yukon  Click here to give online!

  • Thank you for your support in paying for our church renovations!  Thanks to your kindness, the new reno's are fully paid for.  If you would like to continue giving to the church building fund to help pay off our new classrooms and gym (and by proxy, a permanent church space), please mark your tithe envelopes 'Loan Payment'.

  • Also, if you would like to give to our 'Church Expense' fund, consider doing it through the 'Church Budget' line instead.  All money going into our church budget gets distributed throughout the various ministries decided by you at the annual business meeting, including the 'Church Expense' fund!

  • This coming Sabbath, regardless of your team, we would be thrilled to welcome you to our service on the Chetwynd Seventh-day Adventist Church Facebook page.

  • If anybody is interested in doing a children's story, either live or pre-recorded, please contact Linda Berezowski or Dawn Astleford.  Likewise, if you would like to do a special music, please contact Pastor D.

  • If you missed church this week, then we missed you, but you don't have to miss out.  Check out The Weekly Word to catch up on anything you missed!

  • Please note, that due to a glitch in the website, everything in church calendar is actually posted 2 hours early.  While being here 2 hours early will ensure that you have a good spot, it may not necessarily be the most fulfilling use of your time.
